Unifi - Windows 7

Configuration

Step one

From the "system tray" in the lower right corner of your screen, you should see a "wireless network icon" like what is pictured below.

Select this icon to open the list of available wireless networks in range of the device

NOTE: If there is no network icon in the system tray, it may be hidden within the 'less frequently used items' area, which can be expanded by selecting the 'up-arrow', typically on the left-most edge of the system tray.

Step two

From the list of available networks, select 'Unifi' and press the 'Connect' button that appears after selecting it.

Step three

The connection process will begin and you should be prompted to enter user credentials at the 'Network Authentication' prompt:

  • The "username" is your UWA Person ID (i.e. your UWA student number or staff number)
  • The "password" is your associated Pheme password
Once your have entered your credentials, please press "OK"

Step Four

The following Windows Security Alert box will appear:

This is normal. Simply press "Connect" to proceed

NOTE: Don't press Terminate - this will cancel the entire connection process and you will have to start again from the beginning.

You are done!

The connection process will take a few moments to complete.

The wireless icon should become solid, like in the image above and state you are connected to Unifi.
