Remote Systems Access

Provides remote access to business applications and virtual infrastructure.

Supporting the pillars of:
Teaching and Learning Research Community

About

Also Known As: Remote Access, Citrix.

The Remote Systems Access service provides staff with access to select business applications where standard methods of access are not possible - typically this would be due to an incompatibility between a staff member's workstation and a business application.

Remote Systems Access bypasses these incompatibilities by allowing applications to be run from an internet browser.

Features and Benefits

Benefits

The Remote Systems Access service ensures that staff have access to business applications regardless of their work platform of choice (some browser restrictions do apply), enabling business continuity.

External vendors with an existing university relationship are also able to remotely administer their virtual infrastructure via the service.

Key Features

  • Business Applications - Critical applications such as TRIM, Peoplesoft, Raiser's Edge and Medical Director are available via the service (a full list of current applications can be found on the FAQ page).
  • Compatibility - The required software used to access the service works across the majority of platforms and browsers.
  • Vendor Support - Business areas with self-managed UniWA-hosted systems and applications can grant vendors remote access to their virtual infrastructure.
